Barn + Bliss with a Country Twist

Picture this:

Bright yellow canola fields, warm summer air, red and white gingham tablecloths, straw bales, delicious food, cowboy boots, short shorts, cowboy hats, airs of Shania playing in the background, a bull riding competition + so much more!

What a night to remember!

Staying true to our name (weddings & events), it is so important to us that we host events for our community to come out and enjoy our venue. We are forever pushing the envelope further and attempting to bring something new and innovative to our community. Based on the feedback we received we threw an amazing party! (if you attended, please don’t hesitate to leave us a Google Review).

Part of what makes our events so successful are our amazing vendors. We are talking about industry leading gurus who are hardworking and who give their everything to our venue and to our patrons. There is a legitimate reason that we keep bringing back these vendors and also why they are listed as preferred vendors at our site. The other part of what makes these events so fun are those who purchase tickets and attend the event; your support is so appreciated and without you, none of these events would be possible. Your spirit and willingness to come dressed up according to the event theme makes it all surreal and so much more fun!

Almost everyone came wearing a cowboy hat and boots and the bull riding competition was fierce! Many attempted to conquer “Full Send Fred” (and left bruised + sore) and others were far more relentless trying to beat best times or personal best times. We had two determined bull riders leave with a surprise cash in-hand prize which made all of their efforts that much more worthwhile.

The dance floor was “lit” (am I too old to say that?) thanks to Roadhouse. The band was eager to learn country songs to help tie the event together. We think they did an excellent job! The band even threw in a little end of the night “Shaggy” tribute that was AH-MAZING (totally not country but so unique to hear).

Needless to say, with turnouts like we had on Saturday night, we are motivated to push the envelope a little further and already have 4 event dates set aside for next year (wait, WHAT!?!).

Stay tuned ;)

We love you West Nipissing.

Kyle + Kait xoxo
